About this privacy policy
This policy applies to the India section of mahjongwaysindo.com, an independent guide site about the Mahjong Ways series. It explains our handling of information when you browse pages, use site controls or choose to load the public demo. It does not describe the privacy practices of gaming platforms or other third-party services. For information about this site, see About us and our Terms.
We aim to collect only basic information needed to operate, protect and understand use of the guide. This site is not the account provider for any gaming platform. Do not send passwords, payment details or other sensitive information to us by email.

What information may be collected?
When you visit, our hosting and site tools may process the following limited categories:
| Category | Examples | Why it may be processed |
|---|---|---|
| Server logs | IP address, browser and device details, requested page, referring page, and date or time of a request | Delivering pages, diagnosing errors, preventing abuse and maintaining site security |
| Cookies and similar storage | Small files or identifiers saved by your browser, including settings or analytics-related identifiers | Remembering basic preferences and understanding general site use |
| Basic analytics | Aggregated or event-level information such as pages viewed, navigation and browser type | Measuring whether pages work and which guide content is used |
| Messages you send | Your email address and the contents of a message sent to our contact address | Responding to your enquiry and keeping a record needed to handle it |
The information in server logs can sometimes identify a visitor, particularly when combined with other data. We do not use this policy to promise that every analytics record is anonymous. We do not ask visitors to provide identity documents or financial account details to read the guide.

Why do we process it?
We use the limited information described above to make pages available, maintain the website, identify technical faults, protect the site from misuse, understand broad patterns of readership and reply to direct enquiries. Analytics are intended to help us improve the guide, not to create a profile for advertising based on sensitive personal details.
Cookies and analytics choices
Your browser may accept, block or delete cookies through its settings. Blocking them may affect saved preferences or certain site functions, but the guide’s informational pages should remain readable. Where consent is required for a non-essential cookie or analytics tool, we will seek it before relying on that tool. Browser controls are also available for clearing stored cookies. A browser setting does not necessarily remove information already held in server logs or analytics records.

Legal basis under India’s DPDP Act
The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 provides a framework for processing digital personal data in India. Where the Act applies, we process personal data for specified purposes and rely on consent where consent is required. The Act also provides for certain “legitimate uses”; we may rely on a provision only where its conditions apply, for example where processing is necessary for a purpose permitted by the Act. We do not treat a visit to the site as blanket consent for every possible use.
For example, a request to load an external demo is a deliberate action, and the demo is not loaded in the page before you click to open it. Necessary technical processing to deliver and secure the site may be handled for those purposes. For optional cookies or analytics that require consent, the relevant choice should be offered before they are used. If you withdraw consent, we will stop the consent-based processing concerned, subject to technical limits and any processing that has another lawful basis.
This section describes our intended approach and is not legal advice or a guarantee that the Act applies identically to every technical operation. We will handle requests in line with applicable law.

Retention and security
We keep information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, including site operation, security, troubleshooting, analytics or answering a message. Retention depends on the type of record and why it is needed. We do not set out a fixed number of days here because server, security and analytics records can have different operational lifecycles.
When information is no longer required for its purpose, we take steps to delete it or remove identifying details, unless retention is required or permitted by applicable law. We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information, but no website or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.

Sharing and service providers
We may allow hosting, security, technical maintenance or analytics service providers to process limited information on our behalf when needed to run the site. They should process it for the relevant service and under appropriate safeguards. We do not sell personal data as a product. We may disclose information where required by law or where necessary to respond to a lawful request, protect the site or address misuse.
A service provider may process information using systems located outside India. Where this occurs, processing remains subject to applicable requirements. This policy does not mean that every provider or external service follows the same practices; review the relevant provider’s own privacy information where available.

Outbound links and the PG Soft demo
Some pages may link to third-party websites. For example, the demo page explains the public demo. A link takes you away from this site, and the destination’s privacy policy and terms apply to its handling of information. We do not control external websites or their cookies. Check the destination before sharing personal information.
The PG Soft demo iframe is loaded only after you click to open it; it is not loaded automatically with the guide page. Once you choose to load the demo, your browser connects to an external PG Soft service. That service may receive technical information such as an IP address and browser details as part of the connection, and its own practices apply. You can avoid that external request by not clicking to load the demo. Read how the demo works before using it.

Your choices and rights
Subject to the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and its applicable requirements, you may have the right to:
- Ask for information about personal data we process about you and a summary of relevant processing.
- Request correction or completion of inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
- Request erasure of personal data where the Act provides that right and continued retention is not required by law.
- Withdraw consent where processing relies on your consent. Withdrawal does not make earlier processing unlawful, and some information may still be processed on another valid basis.
- Raise a grievance with us about our handling of personal data and receive a response through the contact route below.
- Nominate another person to exercise rights in the event of death or incapacity, as provided under the Act.
To make a request, email contact@mahjongwaysindo.com. Tell us which right you wish to exercise and include enough detail for us to understand and respond to the request. We may ask for reasonable information to verify that the request relates to you. Please do not send identity documents or sensitive details unless we explain why they are necessary. We will respond within the period required by applicable law and may decline or limit a request where the law permits or requires us to do so.
