Who operates this site, and what does it provide?
mahjongwaysindo.com is an independent information site. This India section publishes explanatory material about the Mahjong Ways series by PG Soft, including Mahjong Ways and Mahjong Ways 2. It is not owned, operated, approved or endorsed by PG Soft, and it is not a gaming platform.
The site does not provide gambling services, accept or process wagers, create player accounts, or handle deposits, withdrawals or game transactions. Any account or registration process belongs to the relevant third-party platform, not to this site. A link or button labelled “Play for real money”, if shown, does not mean that we operate the game or endorse the availability, legality or safety of a third-party service. Readers must assess the legal position before using any such service.
The guide is for general information and is not legal, financial or personal advice. You are responsible for deciding whether and how to use the information. See About us for more about this independent guide, or return to the India home page.

What is the legal position in India?
Indian law restricts online money games. The Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025 (Act No. 32 of 2025), received assent on 22 August 2025 and applies throughout India, including to services operated from outside India. It prohibits offering online money games, advertising or promoting them, and processing transactions for them through banks and payment systems. The Act also provides for access to unlawful platforms to be blocked under the Information Technology Act, 2000.
The Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Rules, 2026 came into force on 1 May 2026. Under the Rules, an authority determines whether a game is an online money game. Playing Mahjong Ways for real money is an online money game under this law. The free demo, which uses virtual credits and involves no money, is different from real-money play.
This summary is provided for information and is not a ruling on an individual service or a substitute for current legal advice. Laws, rules and their application can change. Readers are responsible for checking the current position and complying with the law that applies where they are located. Do not assume that a service is permitted because it can be reached online. See our page on country legal status for related information.

How do we present information about Mahjong Ways?
We use information from PG Soft’s official game materials and public demo to describe the games. Where relevant, the official game information identifies Mahjong Ways and Mahjong Ways 2 as PG Soft titles. The official PG Soft game page is an external source; its content and availability are controlled by PG Soft, not by us.
Game details can depend on the version. The information on this page about the games was checked on 26 October 2026 against the official materials identified in our coverage. That does not guarantee that every detail will remain current. We may update or correct our pages when new information becomes available, but we do not promise that all content is complete, error-free or up to date at every moment. Check the source material and the date shown on the relevant page before relying on a detail. Our Mahjong Ways 2 review and how to play guide provide game-specific explanations, not a promise of any result.

Are external links or commissions involved?
Some pages may link to third-party websites or services. We do not control their content, availability, terms, privacy practices or compliance with law. A link is provided for reference and is not a recommendation, endorsement or assurance. Check the destination’s own terms and legal status before using it. Do not provide personal or payment information to a third party based solely on a link from this site.
We may receive a commission when a reader follows certain outbound links or completes an action with a third party. Where applicable, that commercial relationship does not change the fact that this site is an independent information source. It does not guarantee that a linked service is suitable, lawful or safe, and it does not affect the reader’s responsibility to follow local law. We do not receive or manage a reader’s game account or transactions.
