Start the Mahjong Ways demo

The public PG Soft demo is available for both Mahjong Ways and Mahjong Ways 2. This section uses the English interface; the game is also known in Indonesian as “Cara Mahyong”. The credits shown in the demo are virtual. They are for exploring the game interface and do not represent a balance for real-money play.

On mahjongwaysindo.com, the demo starts only after you press the relevant button. It is not launched automatically. To open and explore it:

1. Choose Mahjong Ways or Mahjong Ways 2, then press the demo button.
2. Wait for the game to load and check that the title and game screen match your selection.
3. Use SPIN to start a round. Tap SPIN again or tap the game area to stop the reels.
4. Open PAYTABLE or RULES to check the symbols and feature explanations before continuing.

The official PG Soft game pages are available at PG Soft games. The games are HTML5 and support iOS, Android, MacOS and Windows. On a phone, portrait orientation is the intended layout; the optimal display is 1080x2340 in a 19.5:9 portrait format. The number above the reels shows the ways count: 1,024 in Mahjong Ways and 2,000 in Mahjong Ways 2.

What to test in the Mahjong Ways demo

Use the demo to observe how the rules operate, rather than to look for a winning sequence. Both games use cascading wins: when symbols form a win, those symbols disappear and new ones fall into place. The game checks the new arrangement, so a single spin can contain several rounds. Watch the multiplier above the reels as each winning cascade advances it.

Gold Plated symbols are another feature to follow. In either game, eligible symbols on reels 2, 3 and 4 can appear gold; Wild and Scatter symbols are excluded. If a gold symbol is involved in a win, it changes into a Wild after the next symbols cascade down. The Wild is shown as a gold ingot marked WILD and substitutes for every symbol except Scatter.

The regular cascade multiplier starts at x1. A win in the first round raises the next round to x2; a win in the second raises the next to x3; a win in the third raises the next round and later rounds to x5. The multiplier resets when a new spin begins. These rules make it useful to watch a complete spin through all its cascades rather than judging only the first symbol arrangement.

Free Spins are triggered by three Scatter symbols anywhere on the reels. Mahjong Ways awards 12 free spins, while Mahjong Ways 2 awards 10. Each additional Scatter adds two spins in either game. During Free Spins, the multiplier steps are x2, x4, x6 and x10, and the feature can retrigger. In Mahjong Ways 2, all eligible symbols on reel 3 appear gold during Free Spins and turn into Wilds after a win. For more on the feature rules, visit free spins and Scatter.

Free Spins are uncommon in the published game statistics: the feature hit rate is 0.49% of spins in Mahjong Ways and 0.46% in Mahjong Ways 2. A demo session may show no Free Spins, or may show one; neither outcome changes the rules or predicts what another session will do. The Scatter is the red character 胡 (hu), not a black Scatter. Mahjong Ways demo and Mahjong Ways 2 demo compared

Both titles have five reels and four rows at the sides. Mahjong Ways 2 adds a row to reels 2, 3 and 4, creating a 4-5-5-5-4 layout. The following comparison is about published game information, not a prediction of an individual demo session.

RTP is a long-term theoretical percentage for a game version. It is not a target for a short play session, and it does not mean that a particular player or demo session will receive that percentage back. Hit rate describes how often a spin results in a win under the published calculation; it does not say how large a win will be. Official demo claims and unofficial accounts

A public PG Soft demo is different from a so-called “demo account” promoted by an unrelated site. A claim that an account has a special RTP, a guaranteed pattern or access to a more favourable version is not established by the official game information. The published RTP is a fixed long-term theoretical value for the game version; hourly “RTP live” figures on third-party pages are not official PG Soft values.

The two games use a random number generator, and each spin is independent. “Mahjong Ways 2 tricks”, predictors, patterns and hacks do not change the result of a spin. Do not treat a run of wins, a run without wins, or the appearance of gold symbols as a signal about the next round. The games themselves do not have an account system. Login and registration, where offered, belong to a gaming platform rather than PG Soft’s game. There is no official standalone Mahjong Ways APK from PG Soft: the games run as HTML5 in a browser or within a gaming platform. 05 · Demo

Demo versus real-money play

This comparison is descriptive, not an invitation to play for real money. Section 20 of Bangladesh’s Cyber Security Ordinance, 2025 makes it an offence to create or operate a portal, app or device for gambling in cyberspace, take part in such gambling, assist or encourage it, or advertise or promote it. Sections 21 and 22 address gambling-related financial transactions and fraud. The CID of Bangladesh Police has also run a nationwide campaign against online gambling and identified mobile financial service agents used for gambling payments. 06 · Demo

Troubleshooting a demo that will not load

The demo may take time to load, or a browser or network setting may interrupt the game. Try these basic checks in order:

1. Confirm that you pressed the demo button and allow the page time to open the game. If it remains blank, refresh the page and press the button again.
2. Check that your connection is working, then try loading the page again. A weak or interrupted connection can prevent the game assets from loading fully.
3. Use an up-to-date browser on a supported device. The games are HTML5; an unofficial APK is not required to open the PG Soft demo.
4. On a phone, rotate to portrait orientation. The games are designed for a portrait display, with 1080x2340 listed as the optimal resolution.
5. If the game still does not appear, try another supported browser or device and check whether browser settings or content-blocking tools are preventing page scripts from running.

If the game opens but a control is unfamiliar, use RULES or PAYTABLE within the interface. Avoid sites that ask for credentials to “activate” an official demo or claim that a loading problem can be fixed with a predictor, hack or paid account. The demo button on this site does not start the game until you choose to press it.
